Welcome to the Mindful Strengths and Meaning Company!
Michael Hall is a coach, facilitator, and applied positive psychology practitioner dedicated to helping caregivers and individuals build emotional capacity, agency, and resilience within complex, high-pressure systems. As the founder of Mindful Strengths and Meaning Company (MSMC), Michael brings together lived experience, systems insight, and evidence-based practice to support people navigating chronic stress, change, and burnout, with a particular focus on caregivers of neurodivergent children.
Michael’s work is deeply informed by his personal journey as a parent, his professional experience within healthcare and organizational systems, and his passion for strengths-based development. Through his involvement with The Cigna Group’s ABLE Employee Resource Group for neurodiversity and his innovation work focused on improving access to compassionate, coordinated care, Michael has seen firsthand how invisible structures can either drain or empower individuals and families. This perspective shapes his mission to illuminate growth pathways and help people build agency through process, not just outcomes.
He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Connecticut, and a Certificate in Performance Leadership from Cornell University. His training spans strategic change, motivational interviewing, collaborative leadership, and inclusive program design, all grounded in research-backed approaches.
Before founding MSMC, Michael spent 14 years building and leading a successful sport management company, developing expertise in leadership, entrepreneurship, and performance under pressure. This experience continues to inform his ability to design programs and systems that foster both human flourishing and sustainable growth.
Michael specializes in integrating mindfulness, self-compassion, and strengths-based strategies to help individuals recognize progress, build confidence, and navigate challenges with greater clarity and purpose. He is the creator of the Mindful Strengths and Meaning Program and the Uplift Effect, designed to support resilience, agency, and meaning-making for caregivers and high-stress populations. He also facilitates evidence-based well-being programs, including A Happier You and Flourish
Michael has shared these insights with diverse audiences, delivering a keynote on inclusive workplace well-being to over 600 participants and co-authoring an article in The Philadelphia Inquirer on navigating job loss with practical, evidence-based strategies. His commitment to innovation and collaborative problem-solving has also been recognized through The Cigna Group’s 2025 People’s Choice Innovation Award for Flourish Coaching, a cross-functional autism support initiative designed to bridge behavioral and medical care for neurodivergent patients and their families.
At the heart of Michael’s work is a belief that flourishing is not about removing all difficulty, but about building the internal capacity and supportive frameworks that allow people to navigate life’s challenges with strength, clarity, and meaning. By helping individuals recognize progress, develop agency, and align their actions with what matters most, Michael supports sustainable growth that honors both the human experience and the systems people live and work within.
